Oky so I know many don't like Robin but I have to give her portrayer, Kimberley McCullough, two thumbs up for speaking her mind about Stuart Damon's firing. Here's the quote from SOD:
"It's completely irresponsible and cruel and uncalled for. That's on the record."
I like it when actors speak their minds and damn the consequences!

good for her!
I still can't believe that tptb at GH thinks it's a good idea to kill off a vet at least one sweep a year (Tony last feb sweeps, Alan this Feb sweeps.. I can't remember feb 05 sweeps, I wonder if they killed off someone then too)

Here are all the quotes:
Steve Burton: "I'm heartbroken. The guy is such a giving, great father, great grandfather, great friend, just a great person all the way around. But unfortunately, this is a business and the casualties are people. I love Stuart. We have a lot of the same interests. Our families kind of went through the same personal difficulties, so we really got to know each other and experience things together. I'm going to miss him to death." Rebecca Herbst: "It's very sad, and I'm not afraid to say I don't understand why and I do not agree with it at all. This does hurt. I've only been here 10 years, he's been here almost 30, and that's really hard to swallow."
Natalia Livingston: "I was in shock, honestly, when I heard about it. I didn't think this was ever going to happen. I'm so, so, sad. He's going to be so incredibly missed. He's the backbone of the Quatermaine family and Stuey is a very paternal person to everybody on the show. He's someone everyone respects and we all look up to. He's so loved."
Kimberly McCullough: "It's completely irresponsible and cruel and uncalled for. That's on the record."
Kin Shriner: "I've always said to him that without that beautiful, full head of hair of his, he would have been finished long ago. Actually, it was the first thing he said to me when I saw him again. He said 'You're coming and I'm leaving.' But I told him when one door closes, you don't know how many others will open for you. I've found that out. I have nothing but praise for Stuart Damon . The battling Quatermaines won't be the same without him."
Jason Thompson: "I love Stuey. He's always in a great mood. He's always so professional. We have a little running joke: We'll do a scene and every single time he goes, 'That's going on my reel, Jason. That's going on my reel.' I'm sure he says that to everyone, but I'm going to miss him so much."
Constance Towers: "Stuart is always a gentleman, but he also has a great sense of humor. A few times he told some risque jokes and had that smile, looking back at you to see if you got it. He is a charming man. I hope there's a plot coming up where Alan has a twin."
Jacklyn Zeman: "This woman stopped me in the market the other day and asked me about what's going on with Stuart and she said, 'He'll always be Prince Charming to me'...He'll always be Prince Charming to us, too."

Elana - I have to say, my eyes went a wee bit crossed-eyed when I saw some use the name, Stuey. Well. That's certainly dignified. But perhaps he called himself that. I really don't know. However, I'm glad Kimberly Mc (whatever - I can't remember actors' names, I'm sorry) said flat out what many of us have said from the beginning. She didn't sound like she was trying to save her own butt. She sounded truly sincere and very to the point. I like that in a person. Even if it might not be the smartest thing to do, it was a lovely thing to do.

From what I've read about Kimberley she's pretty blunt and to the point. I like her because she kinda' gave Alexa H. a "what-the-hell-is-she-talking-about" look at SSW (I saw it on youtube) and it was pretty damn funny. In fact in that whole interview they had she and Laura Wright seemed to be the only ones well grounded and pretty down to earth. The others....well, let's just say Alexa, Kelly M., and (sadly) Alicia Minshew did not impress me when I watched those clips (I know all my Rendall buddies will shun me after saying that one- Sorry, guys!)

look at this quote from SID from Steve Burton (Jason):
"I was in shock when I heard. That one caught me really by surprise. I was deeply saddened. People don't know but Stuart was one of my biggest advocates. He would always say to people when I was Jason Quartermaine, 'Man, you've got to give this kid more to do. You've got to help him out.' He would say that publicly to people like the vice president of Daytime at the time and the writers. I've always wanted to pay him back for that somehow. I really appreciate everything he's done for me.. The Quartermaine's were a big part of my life when I first got on the show. It was a great part of my life, because I had great stuff with Leslie Charleson and Stuart. It just hurts. It's kind of like a piece of me is...You know, when a good friend like that leaves the show, even though I don't work with him a lot, there's still that emotional connection that you have. I get emotional just talking about it. Right now, I try not to think about it until the day he goes. Stuart is a guy that loves to act. That's what he's going to miss most..the people and just coming to work. I've known the guy for so long and I don't even know what to say. What can you say? I do want to thank Stuart for being an advocate of mine from day one and for supporting me, not only privately but also publicly to the powers that be. We've been through a lot of things in our lives that are similar, and I just really appreciate him being there for me. I thank him for everything he's done . I love him."
