I notice that lots of people are on the computer during the day, so I was wondering what you guys do for a living. If you don't want to answer, don't, but I just thought it would be interesting to know.
I'm a stay at home mom, which is probably why I'm interested in what occupations you guys have. ;D ;D I'm also an independent distributor for a jewelry company called Premier Designs. Anyone heard of it?? It's based out of Dallas, Texas.
Anyone here have a really interesting job???

Hi, Liz....I am a paralegal. My job is very interesting, and I work for the most incredible WOMAN attorney!! We tease around here that my "job description" changes everyday...I do legal work, real estate work, change light bulbs, fix the copy machine and I even make Sonic Lime-Aide runs at any given time of the day!!! LOL!! ;D My favorite job is being mom to my 6 -year old son...he is the light of my life and ALL BOY!!!

I'm a special needs teacher at a pediatric rehab hospital. I work with both children who are ill and with children who have been abused. It's very difficult at times, but very rewarding.
I have three kids - two boys and a girl. My little girl loves Jonathan/Jeff - it must be in the genes!

I'm doing my final year of Graduate School and I work part time for the media relations department at my university. But now I'm on Christmas Break, so all is well.

I am the Marketing Manager for a new homebuilder. It's a pretty great job and I love it. I've been in real estate so long though that I can't see myself doing anything else. I've never heard of Premier Designs Liz, but it sounds fun! I'm based out of Dallas, TX too!

Elana - That WOULD be a dream job. Yummmmm. I used to want to be an ice cream taste tester. I guess it worked out okay that I wasn't, because I'M LACTOSE INTOLERANT! All of you sound happy and interested with what you do! I am a, hmmm, uh, well, I don't know what I am! I am an executive assistant to the president of an investment management company. Also manager. However, there's only two of us, so since I'm basically the company, it's not very impressive. I pretty much manage myself. Well, at least I try to. Sometimes I have to give myself a stern talking to. It's really fun when it's review time. We also used to do a newsletter for a world-wide company. I wrote the stupid, vapid, unimportant but really fun stuff. I was the super-journalist covering the company picnics and softball games. It was quite important. Yeah. Actually it was a lot of fun. I've worked there for 21+ years! YIKES! Also, do not ask me for stock tips. I am like the cobbler who makes shoes for other people but lets their children go barefoot. Okay, if you insist... buy low, sell high. Unfortunately I heard this backwards.

LMAO Well Ive never had a "career" (yet) other than being a student but if you want to hear a list of really funny jobs....
I was a SARS screener one year at a hospital when we had that outbreak here in Toronto. Seriously, they hired me for one summer at a hospital to screen every single person who came in. Take their temperature and everything, and I got to tell off people who wouldn't cooperate. Easiest and best paying job I ever had, and we were NEVER in any danger.

The couriers were the worst. LOL. They felt their time was too valuable to screen, because they are idiots. They would either ignore it entirely or refuse to deliever whatever their packages were. I used to blow up at them. People were afraid of me. LMAO.

hmm...lets see..i've been a dancer (NOT a stripper! a real dancer for a sports franchise, don't ask..if i look familiar, there may be a reason if there are sports fans in your home) yes, i'm weird about it. don't know why Then, i got my degree in Music Business Management and worked closely with a major Entertainment lawyer. I then chose to start a family and take a more "normal" job in which i was an data entry supervisor for a Early Childhood Intervention program. From there, i became a stay at home mom (for the past, 9 months). I hope to have one more child and once he/she is 3 or so, i hope to open my own, small, dance academy featuring jazz/funk for ages 3-12.
