Well, I'm sorry the job didn't work out but I'm glad you got out of what sounded like a bad situation. I'm glad the talk with your boss went well. I must agree with everyone else---you're too talented to stay in a crap situation. It sounds like you handled it very professionally and now you're free to go out and find a job that doesn't make you miserable.

I think you did the right thing, and with your talent, you will not be unemployed for long. Take care, Meg.

Good luck with finding something Meg - even though you don't need it. (luck that is )I'm sure it's a huge relief now that you've made a decision on the job. Hopefully the next one will be the "It" job... you are so talented you're sure to find something fun!

Meg, I think you did all you could! You were fair to yourself as well as the employer and that is all you can do. Now you can work harder on finding the RIGHT job for you! You'll find it too, just keep believing it and you can make it happen!

I think you did the right thing too Meg , going by your instincts like that . I`m a big believer in the phrase " what`s for you won`t go by you" I am also in awe of your travel plans & now hear that you are DRIVING to Texas? I remember driving for 3 days solid & not getting out of Texas ! I am not worthy Meg! Can anyone beat this for map stupidity? I carefully planned out a route to take my little girl to ballet class ( hubby was away on business ) using my map or " referdex" as we say in Australia . Anyway I followed it to the letter & arrived triumphantly at the address on the latest bill from the studio ......................only to discover that was the address of the owner and quite 10 miles from the class! This would have been more understandable were it not for the fact that I have lived here for 18 mnths & Jodie has been going to the class for 4 ! ( with me as a passenger) .

Good luck with the job search Meg. Life gets pretty rotten when you are unhappy at work. It wasn't something that you could control either so I think you did the wisest thing.

Thanks for the help everyone! I feel really good about my decision even though I'm unemployed again. LOL! I think the right job will come sooner rather than later, but I'm gonna try to be patient....Again, thank you so much!
