But my mom appreciated me after going through the other five kids and their crimes against parenthood. Trixie, you're the youngest of six kids? I'm the youngest of five. Do you think we scared our parents out of the idea of having any more kids?

LL, NO! I'm the OLDEST of six. I was the experimental one. They found out I wasn't so bad after all. Just a bit devious. I had to babysit my younger brothers and sisters from the time I was twelve. And it's hard to be menacing when the only one smaller than you is your Five-Year-Old brother, who incidently likes to play Doo Wah Diddy Diddy three hundred and twenty-three times in one evening. I tell my siblings that they are lucky to be alive. If I were bigger, well, we might have been a spin-off from the Brady Bunch, only we would've been called the Barely Bunch.

Trixie, maybe your parents just kept trying to make another child as wonderful as you?

Oh, LL, As my mom would so succinctly say "WELL, GAG ME". She loves me, but she's NOT delusional. Especially when we play gin rummy and I kick her butt. She hates that and still blames me for ever being 12-years old. It's horrifying as a 50-year old middle aged woman to look at your own mother's face while she sobbing because you were once 12-years-old. Well, we're past that now and I still kick her butt at gin rummy.

But, Charity, just think of all the fun you could have with six grandbabies. And they could help take care of you in your golden years.

Well, if Kallie is adopting and already has names picked out, just make sure that Dr. precedes your grandkids names.

What a lovely memory LL . My dad used to say ( I kid you not) ' Open your golden eyes sweetheart . Open your golden eyes . " I don`t know if it was a quote but it worked with me . My brother would need the reinforcement wake up troops ( mum with an icy cold cloth! ) Skye, that's so sweet! What a lovely thing for your dad to say. Do you say that to your children? Thank you LL & Trixie! My dad was a complete sweetheart . Though I remember one time just before my wedding we were walking in the park & I asked him what he was going to say about me in his speech . He replied " just the truth" To which I responded " Well that`s not very nice!" And , of course , word for word that`s what went into his speech . LL I do say it to my son . Might do to my daughter on the glorious day she doesn`t join us at 4 in the morning & lie horizontally across our bed!
